Transform your backyard, lakeside dock, or mountain cottage into a private wellness sanctuary with the Canadian Timber Luna Sauna by Dundalk Leisurecraft. Blending striking modern Scandinavian contours with traditional barrel sauna principles, the Luna’s signature rounded corners maximize interior headroom and bench space while promoting continuous, natural heat circulation. Crafted to deliver an authentic, high-temperature thermal cycle, it provides a luxurious escape designed for full-body detoxification, athletic recovery, and daily relaxation.
Every Canadian Timber sauna is precision-milled from sustainable, high-grade Canadian White Cedar. The solid single-stave wood bevels fit together seamlessly without tenon joints along their length, creating a tight thermal seal and structural longevity that effortlessly withstands extreme freeze-thaw cycles and intense summer heat. Protected overhead by a sloped roof with a commercial-grade EPDM rubber membrane shield, the Luna ensures water sheds away cleanly, keeping your interior dry and protected in any climate.
-
Signature Luna Silhouette: Modern curved roofline and rounded corners provide enhanced interior volume, superior ergonomic posture, and fluid convective heat and steam flow.
-
100% Sustainably Sourced Canadian Timber: Milled exclusively from Grade-A Canadian cedar harvested from certified sustainable mills in Ontario and British Columbia.
-
Solid Single-Stave Construction: Full-length beveled cedar staves fit tight without weak tenon joints along the body, maximizing insulation and structural rigidity.
-
Leak-Proof Roof Protection: Includes a factory-fitted EPDM rubber membrane and precision-cut cedar trim pieces designed for sloped moisture runoff.
-
Bronze Tempered Safety Glass: Full-height door and window panels feature 5 mm heavy bronze tempered single-pane glass that retains warmth while softening exterior sunlight.

Assembly Overview
-
Pre-Fabricated Kit Assembly: Designed with interlocking beveled staves, pre-assembled front and back wall panels, and pre-hung bronze glass door systems for straightforward assembly.
-
Crew & Tools: Assembly requires 2 adults. Common household tools needed include a cordless drill, level, rubber mallet, adjustable wrench, and ladder.
-
Foundation Requirements: Install on a firm, level surface capable of supporting the structure’s weight (poured concrete pad, heavy-timber deck, or level patio pavers).
Freight Delivery & Packaging
-
Packaging Profile: Ships securely packed in a reinforced weather-resistant wooden crate.
-
Crate Dimensions: 84" L x 45" W x 44" H (214 cm x 114 cm x 112 cm)
-
Packaged Weight: 1,526 lbs (692 kg) (weight varies slightly depending on selected heater)
-
-
Curbside Liftgate Delivery: Because this crate measures 84" in length, it is eligible for carrier hydraulic liftgate service to lower the crate from the truck bed directly to your curbside or driveway access point.
-
Delivery Scheduling: The freight carrier will contact you in advance to schedule a designated delivery window.
-
Damage Inspection: Inspect the crate exterior upon arrival before signing carrier paperwork. If any carton damage or wood scuffs are visible, sign the Bill of Lading (BOL) as "Crate arrived damaged – Possible Hidden Damage" and take clear photos.
Initial Setup & Wood Protection
-
Interior Cedar Care: The interior wood is left natural and untreated. Over time, exposure to steam and heat will cause the cedar to darken naturally. Never apply paint, varnish, polyurethane, or standard exterior stains to the sauna interior. To protect bench surfaces, use only specialized, non-toxic sauna oil (such as Livos Sauna oil).
-
Exterior Cedar Care: Exterior cedar can be left unfinished to weather naturally into an organic silver-gray patina, or treated with a breathable, UV-blocking penetrating exterior wood stain to retain its natural cedar warmth.
Routine & Day-to-Day Maintenance
-
Pre-Session Check: Confirm air intake and exhaust vents are unobstructed. Verify the heater rocks are positioned evenly with space between them to maintain unimpeded airflow. Always sit on a clean towel on benches to absorb natural body oils and perspiration.
-
Post-Session Care: Always prop the door open for 15–30 minutes following use to allow humidity to escape and air to circulate. Wipe down benches and headrests with a clean, dry towel. Never leave standing water, damp towels, or wet clothing inside the cabin.
-
Regular Cleaning: Clean benches and wall panels periodically using warm water and a mild non-toxic soap with a soft bristle brush or microfiber cloth. For stubborn spots or light surface marks, lightly sand with fine-grit sandpaper in the direction of the wood grain. Never pressure-wash the interior or use chlorine bleach.
Seasonal Checks & Winter Care
-
Structural Hardware: Check and tighten wall tension bolts, door handles, and hinge screws annually.
-
Winter Operations: The Luna is engineered for year-round sub-zero operation. Keep the entryway, roof runoffs, and ventilation louvers free of excessive snow and ice buildup. Do not use sharp metal ice scrapers on exterior wood surfaces.
The Canadian Timber Luna Sauna operates with a 6 kW electric heater. Choose from the following premium Canadian and European heater configurations:
